The Labelexpo Global Series has announced a brand new event, Label Summit Indonesia 2013. Focusing on the growing Indonesian and South East Asian label market, the inaugural two day conference and table-top exhibition will take place between the 29-30 May at the Westin Resort Nusa Dua in Bali.
Alternating each year between Bali and Jakarta, it is the second new summit to be added to the award winning portfolio following Label Summit Africa¡Çs successful introduction earlier in 2012. Aimed at label and package printing converters/printers, brand owners and designers, the Summit has the full support of the region¡Çs trade bodies including the Indonesian Packaging Federation as well as gold sponsor HP and silver sponsors Avery Dennison and Gallus. Many of the industry¡Çs major international manufacturers including Armor, Frimpeks, GEW, Mark Andy, Nilpeter, Nuova Gidue, Pamarco and UPM Raflatac have already committed to exhibit at the show.
Label & package printing is consistently the fastest growing sector in the global printing marketplace and Indonesia¡Çs label consumption currently stands at 100 million square meters. A vibrant and continually growing industry, wet glue labels are still widespread with 65% usage, with demand for self adhesive labels rapidly growing in popularity as converters switch technologies.
Roger Pellow, Labelexpo managing director explained: ¡ÈWe¡Çre extremely excited to be launching into the region, particularly as Indonesia is fast becoming one of the World¡Çs most significant emerging markets. Many international companies are now doing business here because of the area¡Çs increasing personal wealth, financial and political stability and increasing demand for luxury and consumer brands. Label Summit Indonesia will give South East Asian printers the unrivaled opportunity to network and share best practice case studies with international converters and suppliers, whilst learning about global advances in label technologies that can aid the future growth of label printing across the Indonesian region.¡É
