Dainippon Screen Captures 73% Share of Coater/Developer Segment of Global LCD Manufacturing Equipment Market

Dainippon Screen Mfg. Co., Ltd. attained a 73%* share of the coater/developer segment of the global market for LCD manufacturing equipment in 2008. This result has been established via an independent third-party survey** covering the LCD manufacturing equipment market. The survey categorized and totaled the unit numbers for all equipment shipped between January and December 2008 by individual manufacturing process. In the coater/developer segment, Dainippon Screen significantly extended the global share of its SK series from 43% in 2007 to 73%, retaining the global number-one position for a fifth consecutive year (since 2004). Screen also achieved top shares for its products in both the wet etcher and resist stripper segments.
