For the second time now iF International Forum Design GmbH will be awarding the ¡ÈiF packaging award¡É at interpack 2011(http://www.interpack.com/). Held for the first time at interpack 2008 the competition met with a great response with 148 entries from 17 countries. First FESPA Stakeholder Survey On Economic Impact Shows Printers Positive About Upturn. One third of survey respondents anticipate business recovery by mid 2010

The results of FESPA¡Çs first stakeholder Economy Survey suggest that wide format printers and their suppliers worldwide are broadly optimistic about the chances of business recovering to pre-recession levels within the next 12 months.
Some 14% of survey respondents already report signs of recovery, with a further 23% expecting fortunes to improve in the second half of 2009. 25.6% of the sample expects the upturn to come in early 2010, with a similar figure anticipating recovery by the end of 2010. Less than 12% foresee current trading conditions lasting into 2011. 83% of respondents believe themselves to be well positioned to take advantage of the conditions if the market rebounds.¡¡» Read More

Baldwin Technology Company, Inc. (NYSE Amex: BLD), a leader in process automation technology for the global printing industry, announced today that it has received an order for approximately $1.3 million.
Gulf Printing and Publishing Company (GPPC) has ordered Baldwin ProTech automatic blanket washers for its existing CROMOMAN semi-commercial presses. This order was secured in cooperation with the German printing press manufacturer manroland. Completion of the installation and commissioning of Baldwin¡Çs cleaning equipment is scheduled for March 2010.¡¡» Read More
