NCA to Sponsor Confectionery Pavilion at PACK EXPO 2010. Leading Confectionery Group to Partner with PMMI to Promote Event and Pavilion

Arlington, Va.; Aug. 5, 2009 – PACK EXPO International 2010 will feature the Confectionery Pavilion sponsored by the National Confectioners Association (NCA), PMMI announced on Monday. This is the first time NCA has partnered with PMMI to produce a pavilion within the Western Hemisphere¡Çs largest, most comprehensive packaging and processing trade show.

Metso to acquire coater and doctor blade business from Pacific/Hoe Saw&Knife Company in the United States

Metso and Pacific/Hoe Saw&Knife Company ("Pacific") have entered into an asset purchase agreement whereby Metso will acquire the coater and doctor blade business of Pacific International, a division of Pacific, located in Portland, Oregon, the United States. The transaction is expected to be finalized and the business transferred during the third quarter of 2009. The net sales of the purchased business is less than USD 10 million a year.
