Nippon Foil Mfg. Co., Ltd.(homat horaizon building 2,6-banchi,goban-cho,chiyoda-ku,tokyo japan, 1020076, Japan, TEL: 81-3-52121752 ) exhibited their technologies of PTP(Press Through Package) materials in Pharma Pack 2009, exhibition featuring packaging machines and materials for the pharmaceutical industry, held inside 22nd INTERPHEX JAPAN.
PTP sheets are usually printed endless pattern on them. But there has some problems like flaws in barcode or difficulty in displaying more information. So the PTP sheets which have the same pattern on each sheet have been incleasing. Nippon Foil has the press which enables both side mark control and overprint. They can provide 3 color printed PTP sheets which have the same pattern on each sheet.
Nippon Foil also exhibited PTP aluminum foil application to infrared image inspection. In infrared image inspection, printed parts on PTP sheet are judged as flaws. In order to avoid such problems, Nippon Foil suggests to use the ink which lets infrared rays pass through.
Nippon Foil also suggested micro characters printing as the measure against counterfeit medicines.
