1. Introduction
The fluid pan feed method or the fluid dam feed method of a coating fluid, which has often been used for the coating head section, is shifting to the closed application method.
Our closed applicator has several types according to purpose and application, but in this document, I mainly give an explanation of the most representative ¡ÈINVEX Ultra-die coater¡É which has been adopted since 1985.
2. Ultra-die coater
2.1 Overview
Coating of a low-viscosity fluid with a slot-die is the technology which has traditionally been used in conjunction with a hot melt and a roll coater. This INVEX ultra-die coater has a system of discharging the amount of coating fluid required from the slot of a die for a full (100%) coating. It has received attention in the converter industry since it was put on our test line in the fall of 1985, with ever increasing deliveries.
