son in charge. The CFX series is intended for use in fixture and cardboard process-ing applications. The CFX series is equipped with a multi-head that can simultaneously mount up to three tools for converting, including V-cut, vibra-tion cut, and push cut tools, as well as end mills. The V-cut system has not been available on Japanese cutting plotters until now, and most of them were made by European manufactur-ers. This V-cut system can be used as a half-cut when, for example, folding CFX-2550” (left) and various cardboard samplesthick corrugated board at a 90-degree angle. It also has a built-in function to compensate for the width and thick-ness to be cut. While ordinary cut-ting plotters can only accommodate a maximum of three tools on the unit, the CFX series can be attached one more tool, making it possible to install a milling tool for converting acrylic or aluminum composite panels for sign boards without the need to change tools. We believe that this contributes to continuous operation because there is no need to stop the machine and re-place the tool with another one,” says the person in charge. The company plans to install a cam-era on top of the CFX series machine when it is released in the future, which will detect the cutting position with better accuracy than register marks and enable contour cutting of printed material. The camera also records the exact position of the marks, thus meet-ing the need to cut from the back side 3D scannerThe company is also looking to uti-lize 3D printers in the entertainment industry. The person in charge said, “Currently, not only universities but also companies are starting to intro-duce 3D printers little by little. Two or three companies have already adopted it for pet figures. Our 3D scanners allow anyone to model any object, including people, animals, and vegetables, with-out the need for skill or know-how. In the future, we hope that 3D model figures will be used instead of pho-tographs to record the memories of sightseeing in kimono and the growth of children. First of all, we would like people to actually experience 3D print-ing at the JP Demo Center.Various 3D printed samples52Equipped with V-cut that can be half-cut made in JapanIn the large flatbed UVIJ printer and cutting plotter area, the “CFX-2550” (cutting range: 2540 × 5080 mm), a new model of the CFX series of flatbed cutting plotters scheduled for release in July, the “JFX600-2513,” a large flat-bed UV-LED IJ printer, and cardboard samples made with these printers were displayed.
